Intense Pulsed Light Hair Removal

How does it work?

Pulses of light travel through your skin to each hair, in which it can target the pigment. The hair and its follicle (root) heat up and are destroyed.

How long will it last?

IPL results in permanent hair reduction, however touch up appointments will be needed over time.

What’s in it?

IPL uses a broad spectrum light, not a laser source, covering wider areas at once.

What’s involved?

Over a series of sessions, the number of active hair follicles is reduced.

Who can use it?

IPL works best for those with dark hair as hair with more pigment will absorb more of the light. Certain skin conditions and medications may not be suitable for IPL — Kay will be able to advise you.

Does it hurt?

You may experience a slight sunburnt sensation. The procedure becomes progressively less painful with each treatment.
